14 Aug 2025 to actinic light. A rare migrant.
Identification was confirmed by our county recorders, Andy & Melissa Banthorpe, this morning.
New for Bedfordshire, VC30. spotted on my garden shed just above the light trap.
The warm nights and prevailing winds mean anything could turn up from southern Europe or perhaps North Africa.
I haven't posted on the blogger for quite a while now so having been permanently disabled from my F/B account and the moth groups I am /was a member, I thought I would return to blogger and with any luck some of the members I knew will still be on here and are able to see the latest catches from my garden site in VC30, TL14, Biggleswade, Bedfordshire.
I'll start with a nice rarity to actinic light on the 28th June, 2025, a warm night with a lot of migrant activity.
