Yet another bumper night.
Around 90 species were recorded on a calm, warm evening with plenty of humidity, moth heaven.
New for year species were Yponomeuta evonymella, Limnaecia phragmitella, Pleuroptya ruralis, Pempelia formosa, Trachycera advenella, Lesser Yellow Underwing and Shark.
Plus a small Cnephasia species to be checked, given its small size I would hazard a guess at Cnephasia incertana or asseclana.
There is also a small, dark tortrix to be ID'd
The newcomers pics ...
From top to bottom as listed.

8th July 2013 ... Another for the macro list
A long overdue carpet turned up on the 6th July which was on its last legs and expired in the pot.
After going through a few moths in pots from the fridge, I realised that Large Twin-spot Carpet was a new one for The Dells garden ....
The above one is not in the best of health, in fact it is no more.
Luckily another one turned up for the funeral .....
.... this one was released but I don't think it is too much healthier than the first by the look of it.
A Clay (3 of )was added to the year list along with a Bird-cherry Ermine ....

5th July 2012... Wet traps !
I'm seriously thinking about building an Ark.
Both traps were soaking wet in the morning, but moth numbers were high.
9 Swallow- tailed Moths was a record count, the second Leopard Moth of the year, Brown-tail and a tiny Wainscot type, which I think is Mere Wainscot but I will consult the County recorders..... Wingspan = 25mm, give or take a mil, check it out, I may be well off track :-
I actually caught TWO of the above, but one died in the capture pot.
Mere or Small Wainscot would both be new moths for the site.
Confirmed by County recorders...1 male, 1 female Mere Wainscot.
Thanks Andy & Melissa...
A year first Brown-tail (Below)
Leopard Moth
6 new for year micros were added to the 2012 tally plus a few for ID.
I'm still using the old names at the moment, it's easier to check out UK moths if I need the BF number.
Phlyctaenia coronata
Pterophorus pentadactyla
Yponomeuta evonymella
Phycita roborella
Scoparia ambigualis and Aleimma loeflingiana were also new for year.
Always worth a Small Runc pic !
This was one of two and it's in fresh, pristine condition
