6 degrees min last night and a big moon in a clear sky .... not good for June.
Plenty of Heart and Darts and a few bits including a year first Green Oak Tortrix ....

.... Perhaps not, it's July 1st and it's raining !
The trapped moths from last night just about mirrored the catch on the previous night, with a few exceptions.
So did the weather, with a steady S.W. wind and a few spots of rain.
This years diabolical weather has certainly put a damper on the moth numbers, as can be seen at the top of the page.
This time last year ........ 301 species
This year ......................237 species...... 64 behind !
