1524 ... Emmelina monodactyla
1764 ... Common Marbled Carpet

2091 ... Dark Sword-grass
2240 ... Blair's Shoulder-knot

This time of year I get several other visitors around the traps.
It's been a good year for most insects and arachnids.
Harvestman Spiders are everywhere, and many other species of spider,  Ophion sp wasps and Caddis are regulars to the traps.
Rosemary Beetles are now common and a female Great Diving Beetle was found in the trap along with a Common Wasp.

5th Jan 2013 ... Earliest Early

Early Grey was the earliest record for the garden, found on the wall by the trap.
Yet another Dark Chestnut, which is the 5th this year and much commoner in The Dells garden than Chestnut.
Other interesting creatures were the variety of flies around the trap and a Rosemary Beetle, Chrysolina americana.
An unidentified larva was seen munching away at my Senicio cineraria (Silver Ragwort) which also suffers occasional attacks from Cinnabar larva as it is closely related to Common Ragwort.

31st March 2012... Garden Traps

Overnight min. temp. 4.6 deg. calm, clear, cloud early a.m.
Temperatures are edging their way back down to average March this week and a cloud cover at night should halt the big drops we have seen lately. and cover the bright waxing moon.
Last nights trap results were mediocre.
A very worn Twin-spotted Quaker was found struggling in a spider web.
The first Rosemary Beetle (Chrysolina americana) of the year was found near one of the traps....
