The decent summer has produced a few 2nd generation moths.
Brown "stuff" numbers are decreasing at last...

I've been keeping an eye out for the migrant Pearly Underwing, which are very similar to Turnip moth.
After checking out Tony Morris's blog, Mothing at the hidden house, a useful pic of the "punk mohican hairstyle" of a Pearly Underwing had been posted, so I have posted a Turnip Moth comparison from last nights catch .....

.....The other way to tell them apart is to check the hindwings but the hairdo seems to be  a good fieldmark.
