This warm spell has certainly woken up the moths.
12.2 deg. C minimum and again overcast although there was a bit of rain about in the early part of the night.
Another good catch with 7 more species, possibly 8, to add to the garden year list ...

Still conditions and part cloudy.
Another good selection in and around the garden traps.
A new micro was added to the garden list, a common species, probably overlooked in the past along with several other tiny micros.
4 Privet Hawks was a high count, 3 were in the trap but the 4th was in the nearby garden pond and the morning discovery proved to be too late.

A few more newcomers for the year were recorded last night, Dot Moth, Double Square-spot, Elephant Hawk-moth, Bordered Pug, Dwarf Cream Wave, Middle-barred Minor, Toadflax Pug and Least Carpet.
Epiblema uddmanniana was the latest micro....is it still an Epiblema ? The new micro book has thrown me a bit !

The 29th was a warm evening with little breeze, and it was the micros that stole the limelight with a garden newby and 5 year ticks. Of the macros, 2 more were added to the garden list, BARRED STRAW and RIBAND WAVE both year firsts.
