23rd June 2014 .. More additions to year list

Yet another bumper night.
Around 90 species were recorded on a calm, warm evening with plenty of humidity, moth heaven.
New for year species were Yponomeuta evonymella, Limnaecia phragmitella, Pleuroptya ruralis, Pempelia formosa, Trachycera advenella, Lesser Yellow Underwing and Shark.
Plus a small Cnephasia species to be checked, given its small size I would hazard a guess at Cnephasia incertana or asseclana.
There is also a small, dark tortrix to be ID'd
The newcomers pics ...
From top to bottom as listed.

7th/8th Jan 2013 ... Lesser Yellow "comes" as a surprise

A Lesser Yellow Underwing was totally unexpected last night.
It was quite worn and is probably a migrant carried over on the recent mild southerly winds.
