13th Feb 2015 ... A Pale Male
It was just about warm enough last night to flick on the traps while I was out quizzing and supping.
The first macro moth of the year arrived at last, a male Pale Brindled Beauty.
4.2 deg low..rainy
Well done Trent. Trying myself tonight after a catch of Acleris hastiana and Pale Brindled Beauty on Tuesday night.... So far another two different moths! Must update my blog when I get time to take some photos. It is still very slow going though for most people. All the best.
This is the first year I haven't caught a macro in January. But I'm only 1 species behind last year to date..... and last year saw my highest annual total. Ever optimistic mate ....
